How Buffett buoys Berkshire Hathaway

The Oracle of Omaha is proactive when it comes to his succession plan.

Warren Buffett has appointed two new vice-chairs to Berkshire Hathaway—a move that’s part of his ongoing succession plan; not related to his health, he told CNBC on Jan. 10. The new vice-chairs are Gregory Abel and Ajit Jain.

If his health were an issue, Buffett said he’d tell the board and Berkshire shareholders “immediately,” CNBC reports.

Buffett added that the Berkshire board knows who would take over if something were to happen to him.
