Business Insider put together a list of nine ways successful people think differently:

  • They change practices that don’t benefit anyone. For example, if annual performance reviews aren’t boosting results, a successful person would communicate with employees more frequently to gauge their progress.
  • They continuously perfect their work. By turning it into a craft rather than a job they stay more engaged.
  • They change company culture by focusing on one negative habit a time. Taking on too much at once risks not getting anything done and may trigger resistance.
  • They borrow ideas from other successful people.
