IFIC’s counterpart in Quebec names new board leadership

The Conseil des fonds d’investissement du Québec (CFIQ), the French counterpart to the Investment Funds Institute of Canada (IFIC), has elected Eric Hallé to chair its board of governors, a release said on Wednesday.

Hallé is vice-president, Eastern Canada, with Dynamic Funds.

The board also elected Sébastien Vallée, senior manager, investment solutions division, Desjardins Société de placement, as its second vice-chair.

Paul Bourque, IFIC’s president and CEO, remains on the board as ex-officio first vice-chair.

Johanne Blanchard, vice-president and legal counsel with IG Wealth Management, served as chair over the past two years and will remain on the board as a governor.
