IIROC extends deadline for district council positions

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) has extended its application period for new district council members to Apr. 17, 2020.

The original deadline was Mar. 16.

IIROC has called on dealers to nominate candidates for regional committees, which have both a regulatory and advisory role within the self-regulatory organization.

Dealers can nominate a candidate for election to the council in each jurisdiction where they have an office. Each council comprises four to 20 members, who typically serving a two-year term.
