Jo Taylor to lead Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan

Jo Taylor will take over as president and CEO of the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan in January, replacing the retiring Ron Mock.

Taylor joined the Ontario Teachers’ in 2012 and led various overseas operations before becoming executive managing director for global development last year, a release said. He oversees the investment teams in international offices.

Mock joined Ontario Teachers’ in 2001 and has been in the CEO role since 2014. During that period, the pension plan’s net assets grew to $191.1 billion at the end of 2018, up from $140.8 billion when he took the job, the release said.
