Kathrin Forrest joins Capital Group

Capital International Asset Management (Canada) Inc. has appointed Kathrin Forrest as an equity investment specialist.

With a focus on the Canadian market, Forrest will support both the wealth management and institutional retirement businesses, the Toronto-based subsidiary of Capital Group said in a release on Tuesday.

Forrest joins Capital Group from Sun Life Financial, where she spent nearly two decades in senior roles across the organization. Most recently, she served as vice-president and portfolio manager of Sun Life Global Investments.

“The calibre of Kathrin’s leadership and her portfolio management expertise will be highly complementary to our talented team in Canada,” said Rick Headrick, president of Capital Group in Canada.

Forrest will be based in Capital Group’s Toronto office.
