Macquarie adds two industry heavyweights

Macquarie Private Wealth has announced two additional investment professionals have joined its team.

Tom Williams joins Macquarie as the firm’s first-ever regional manager for Eastern Canada, working from the Toronto office. He starts with the firm in December.

For the last 16 years, Williams has worked for CIBC Wood Gundy where he was a non-producing branch manager. Previously, he was executive director and national sales manager for CIBC Asset Management and investment advisor/GTA regional sales manager.

Brent Larkan has joined Macquarie Private Wealth as the new head of syndication and new head of the Public Venture Capital Group.

Larkan has more than a decade of experience in equity capital markets and syndication, most recently serving as vice-president, equity capital markets and syndication for HSBC Securities (Canada) Inc.
