Manulife Investments launches 2 mutual funds based on megatrends

Manulife Investments has launched two mutual funds in partnership with a Switzerland-based asset manager with experience in thematic investing.

Manulife Global Thematic Opportunities Fund and Manulife Global Thematic Opportunities Class invest in companies set to benefit from megatrends, says a release. Those trends include large social, economic, political, environmental or technological changes set to impact society or business.

The funds will be sub-advised by Pictet Asset Management’s Hans Peter Portner, head of Pictet’s thematic equities team, and Gertjan Van Der Geer, senior investment manager on the thematic equities team.
