The Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) has announced the membership of its new Market Structure Advisory Committee (MSAC), which provides the regulator with industry feedback on policy and rule-making initiatives involving the trading landscape.

The committee for 2019–2021 includes representatives from TMX Group, Nasdaq Canada, Omega ATS and ITG.

The sell side is represented by RBC Capital Markets, Scotia Capital, TD Securities, BMO Capital Markets and Desjardins Securities, along with trading firms Citadel Securities Canada and Select Vantage Canada.

Investing giant Vanguard Investments Canada is joined by Omers Capital Markets and Hillsdale Investment Management from the buy side.

“The Market Structure Advisory Committee brings together a wealth of experience and knowledge, and we look forward to continuing to receive valuable input from the committee,” said Susan Greenglass, director, market regulation at the OSC, and chair of the MSAC.
