Mercer names new wealth management head

Mercer has named Cara Williams as the new global head of its wealth management operation. She will continue in her role as global head of technology solutions, operating from Mercer’s office in London.

“Wealth Management is rapidly becoming a significant part of Mercer’s Investment business and the expansion of this exciting business area is fundamental to our stated objective to diversify,” said Phil de Cristo, president and group executive for Mercer’s investment businesses. “I am pleased that Cara Williams has accepted this newly created position – she will bring the qualities needed to accelerate the growth of our wealth management business.”

For the last six years, Williams has been the global COO for Mercer’s investment consulting business, managing its day-to-day operations, budgets and business strategy.

“The time is right for Mercer to further strengthen its presence in the wealth management market,” she said. “I am delighted to be part of the team and to be delivering our extensive, unparalleled expertise, suite of services and innovative solutions to clients.”
