The MFDA has launched a program to help members improve their cybersecurity practices.

The SRO is looking for members to voluntarily participate in its Cybersecurity Assessment Program to test firms’ capabilities and readiness, an MFDA bulletin said.

The MFDA will offer the program in phases, starting with its smallest members, the bulletin said, and will contact members to ask if they’d like to participate.

Cybersecurity is a key initiative in the MFDA’s 2018-2022 strategic plan.

The SRO sent a questionnaire to members last year and gave individualized reports with recommendations and areas for improvement to strengthen cybersecurity practices.
