Global asset manager Schroders plc has named a new head of its Canadian operations.

The firm, which manages around $9.5 billion for institutional clients in Canada and €496.6 billion in assets globally, has appointed Michelle Skelly to serve as its new head of Canada.

Skelly was previously director, institutional business development, at the firm’s North American subsidiary, Schroder Investment Management North America, Inc., based in New York.

“North America continues to be an area of growth for Schroders and I am pleased to have Michelle Skelly lead our efforts in Canada,” Marc Brookman, the firm’s deputy CEO, North America, said in a statement.

“She has tremendous depth of knowledge in the Canadian market working alongside some of the largest plans from a sales and client service perspective,” he added.

Skelly replaces Ross Servick, who has left the firm.
