Natixis reduces fees, consolidates funds

Natixis Investment Managers Canada LP is making several changes to its mutual funds, including reducing fees, and consolidating and closing funds, the firm said on Tuesday.

The changes include:

  • reducing management fees, consolidating and renaming certain fee-based series;
  • eliminating the tax management fee with all series of the Compound Growth class;
  • adding U.S. dollar purchase options to certain funds;
  • eliminating the deferred sales charge and low load sales charge purchase options;
  • increasing the eligibility requirement for Series I securities to $2,000,000 per account from $1,000,000 per account;
  • changing the risk rating for certain funds; and
  • changing the distribution rates of certain funds.

Changes to management fees

The management fees for the Series F securities of the following funds have been reduced by 5 to 25 basis points as follows:

Closure and renaming of funds

  • Natixis closed the Series F securities and renamed them Series F1 as of June 5. The minimum purchase amount for the Series HF securities was reduced from $250,000 to $500, and the series was renamed Series F.
  • Series H and Series HF of certain funds were closed to new investors.
  • All of the series of securities (Series A, F, H, HF and I) of the Return of Capital class and the Dividend class (the “Closed Canadian Bond Class Series”) of the Natixis Canadian Bond Class are no longer offered to new investors.
