A new portfolio management firm has launched in Vancouver using Purpose Advisor Solutions’ advisor wealth platform to manage its business.

Foundation Wealth Partners, a partnership-based portfolio management firm, has opened a Vancouver office with three advisors, the firm said Thursday in a release.

“Within the Foundation Wealth partnership, partners have equity, ownership of their practice and freedom to make decisions that put clients’ interests first while collaborating with some of the highest quality partners in the industry,” said partner James Pelmore in a statement.

The firm has partnered with business backend provider Purpose Advisor Solutions, using its digital platform to allow advisors and portfolio managers to launch their own independent business.

Purpose provides digital tools for CRM, portfolio management, reporting, compliance and trading.

“The platform automates and streamlines advisor workflows for organizations like Foundation Wealth Partners, so they can scale their business and focus on what is most important to them—strengthening client relationships,” the firms said in a release.

Purpose CEO Jeff Gans, a former TD Wealth Management vice-president, is also the CEO of Foundation Wealth Partners, its website says.

Foundation Wealth is focused on serving affluent clients, family offices, corporations, private pensions and trusts, the release said.
