The Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) announced on Thursday it has appointed Craig Hayman to the commission to serve a two-year term.

Hayman has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services sector, including 17 years as an investment advisor and senior leader with Edward Jones, says a release from the OSC. He worked for several large financial institutions earlier in his career focusing on pension administration and investment, and is also a CFA charterholder.

“Craig brings a fantastic balance of both retail and institutional investing expertise to the commission,” Maureen Jensen, chair and CEO of the OSC, said in the release. “I look forward to his perspective as we work to deliver responsive regulation that promotes confidence in Ontario’s capital markets.”
