The Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) has published a suite of multilingual resources for financial literacy month.

The new resources are part of the OSC’s priority to reach and educate newcomers about investing in Canada, says a release.

On its multilingual website that offers an introduction to investing, the OSC is launching expanded resources in Chinese, Hindi and Punjabi, alongside English and French, says the release. Resources include information on investment products, registered plans and tips to protect against investment frauds and scams.

The resources will be rolled out across all languages on the website, says the release.

As part of the expanded resources, the OSC is also introducing multilingual handouts, available on its consumer website, on such topics as investment scams, checking registration and investing.

The OSC also says it’s expanding its community outreach program with new events for community groups and organizations for new Canadians.
