The regulatory policy committee that advises the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) on the workings of its in-house tribunal is seeking new members.

The OSC is looking for volunteers to join its Securities Proceedings Advisory Committee (SPAC), which provides advice to the OSC’s Office of the Secretary on “policy and procedural initiatives” involving its administrative tribunal.

The committee, which is chaired by the OSC’s secretary, Grace Knakowski, meets as needed.

It is comprised of 10 to 12 lawyers from the private sector, along with staff of the OSC’s enforcement branch and the Office of the Secretary. Private practitioners serve three-year terms on the SPAC.

Applications are due by Dec. 13.
