The Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) is looking for volunteers to serve on its technical advisory committee for investment funds.

The OSC is seeking senior industry personnel with “technical, operational and compliance” experience in the investment funds and structured products sectors for its Investment Funds Technical Advisory Committee (IFTAC).

The committee provides OSC staff with feedback on technical compliance issues in the regulation of investment funds, and helps identify possible ways to better align “investor, industry and regulatory goals,” the OSC said.

The IFTAC, which typically meets four times a year, is comprised of eight to 15 members who serve two-year terms.

The committee is chaired by Melissa Schofield, senior legal counsel in the OSC’s investment funds branch.

Applications to join the committee are due by Aug. 6.
