OSC unveils proxy voting roundtable agenda

The Ontario Securities Commission has released the final agenda for its proxy voting roundtable, which includes a list of discussion topics and panelists.

The roundtable is scheduled for January 29, 2014 at 9am and will take place at the OSC’s Toronto offices. It will examine issues identified in the CSA’s paper on current proxy voting infrastructure. It will also cover next steps.

Further, the event will feature two panels that represent the perspectives of issuers, investors and other financial industry stakeholders. All panelists were selected based on comment letters submitted.

Main panel topics include understanding and improving vote reconciliation, and designing and implementing end-to-end vote confirmation.
