Prosper Canada has launched a free portal to help financially vulnerable Canadians take control of their finances, the Toronto-based charity said in a release on Wednesday.

The bilingual portal, Trove, provides financial tools and plain-language resources on money management, tax filing and debt reduction.

“There are a plethora of financial tools, apps and information out there; however, finding resources that are credible, easy to understand and tailored for people living on low incomes can be extremely challenging,” said Elizabeth Mulholland, CEO of Prosper Canada, in the release.

The portal also provides access to a search tool for emergency benefits and potential financial relief, and a calculator for registered disability savings plans.
