Toronto-based Russell Investments has made changes to the Russell Investments Fixed Income Plus Pool and class, which is an actively managed product that offers global bond exposure.

The product leverages Russell Investments’ selection of fixed-income subadvisors as well as the firm’s “proprietary strategies,” a release said.

Added strategies include liquid alternatives (long-short credit), fallen angels (downgraded high yield) and securitized credit (debt instruments such as mortgages and loans).

The Fixed Income Plus Pool and class was formerly known as Multi-Asset Fixed Income and class, and fees for multiple series have been lowered as part of the changes.
