Scotiabank sells its operations in Antigua and Barbuda

The Bank of Nova Scotia is selling its operations in Antigua and Barbuda to Eastern Caribbean Amalgamated Bank Ltd., Scotiabank said in a release on Tuesday.

The operations include two branches and fewer than 75 employees, the release said.

Eastern Caribbean is a full-service commercial bank located in Antigua and Barbuda. The bank offers personal and commercial banking products and services including deposits, loans, cards and foreign exchange to individual and business clients in Antigua and Barbuda and across the Caribbean.

The agreement is subject to regulatory approvals.
