Scotiabank to close funds

Scotia Global Asset Management will be closing four funds and its advisor series of 13 other funds.

The funds and series will close on Jan. 25, 2019, the bank said in a release. The funds and series are no longer available for purchase, including through pre-authorized contributions.

The funds that will close are:

  • Pinnacle Growth Portfolio
  • Pinnacle Income Portfolio
  • Scotia Conservative Government Bond Capital Yield Class
  • Scotia Fixed Income Blend Class

The advisor series of the following funds are closing:

  • Scotia Balanced Opportunities Fund – Advisor Series
  • Scotia Canadian Dividend Fund – Advisor Series
  • Scotia Canadian Growth Fund – Advisor Series
  • Scotia Canadian Income Fund – Advisor Series
  • Scotia Diversified Monthly Income Fund – Advisor Series
  • Scotia Global Growth Fund – Advisor Series
  • Scotia Global Opportunities Fund – Advisor Series
  • Scotia International Value Fund – Advisor Series
  • Scotia Money Market Fund – Advisor Series
  • Scotia Selected Balanced Growth Portfolio – Advisor Series
  • Scotia Selected Balanced Income Portfolio – Advisor Series
  • Scotia Selected Growth Portfolio – Advisor Series
  • Scotia Selected Maximum Growth Portfolio – Advisor Series

Unitholders of the funds can redeem their units at any time, the release said. Unitholders of the series may also reclassify their units into another series of the same fund. Applicable redemption fees and sales charges payable to the bank will be waived in both cases. Any remaining units will be redeemed for cash on the closing date.
