Anna Murray has been appointed managing director, global head of ESG, with Toronto-based institutional asset manager SLC Management.

In her new role, Murray will focus on integrating resilience, environmental and social performance, and risk mitigation into the firm’s investment activities. She’ll also be responsible for aligning SLC Management’s ESG reporting efforts with that of its parent company, Sun Life.

“Anna will deliver another compelling value proposition for our investors who are increasingly turning to their fiduciaries to lead the way on sustainable investing,” Steve Peacher, president, SLC Management, said in a release.

Murray will continue in her current role as leader of the sustainable investing team at BentallGreenOak, SLC Management’s real estate investment manager.

Crescent Capital and InfraRed, both affiliate companies of SLC Management, will continue to have their own ESG programs and will work with Murray to coordinate efforts and share best practices.
