Starlight Investments Capital plans to launch the Starlight Hybrid Global Real Assets Trust, which will invest in global real estate and infrastructure.

Starlight said Monday that it has filed a preliminary prospectus with Canadian regulators for an IPO of series A units, series C units and/or series F units at an offering price of $10 per unit.

The trust will offer exposure to institutional real assets in the global real estate and infrastructure sectors, and will aim to provide stable monthly cash distributions and long-term capital appreciation, a release says.

The trust will invest no less than 60% of net capital raised into a subsidiary, Starlight Global Real Assets LP, which will hold an actively managed global portfolio of real estate and infrastructure securities, the release adds.

Additionally, the trust will allocate up to 20% to each of the EagleCrest Infrastructure Canada LP and the Starlight Canadian Residential Growth Fund, a new fund that will directly invest in Canadian multi-residential real estate properties and portfolios.
