WGAM names new managing partner

Julie Lalonde will join Westmount, Que.-based Walter Global Asset Management Inc. (WGAM) as managing partner, the the private equity platform announced Thursday.

With two decades of experience in the industry, Lalonde will use her expertise to identify investment opportunities and support the continual growth of the business, the company said in a release. 

Prior to joining WGAM, Lalonde held senior management positions at Canadian investment firm Fiera Capital Corp., serving as executive vice president and vice president, client service, marketing and investment strategies, institutional markets. 

“With her results-driven approach, Julie will contribute to every area of the business. Her knowledge of both the institutional and retail markets is an especially valuable asset,” said Sylvain Brosseau, chief executive officer and founding partner of WGAM, in a statement.
