The first program will begin in August 2012 with a 20-day advanced compliance-training program for chief compliance officers from China’s futures firms. Hosted in Toronto, this will be the first in a series of four programs over the next three years.

“The sharing of best practices in the futures and derivatives industry between our two countries is one of the best ways for us to build lasting ties between our two capital markets,” says Anthony Sue-A-Quan, vice president, Head of China Market for CSI.

Since 2005, CSI has introduced China’s largest securities firms and banks to best practices within Canada’s capital markets. In 2009, the company developed an advanced education program for Chinese Compliance executives as part of its partnership with the Securities Association of China.
