Developed market stocks outpace emerging market peers

Developed markets rode the rising tide of equities to vault over their counterparts in emerging markets in the first quarter of 2013.

Stock markets in the advanced economies have gained 6.6% so far this year while they have given up 3% in the emerging economies, reports FT.com.

However, economic growth in emerging markets remains strong by developed market standards, albeit “not quite as good as expected.”
