Fiera Properties snaps up industry veteran

Fiera Properties Limited, affiliate of Fiera Capital Corporation, has appointed veteran executive Peter Cuthbert as its senior vice president and partner.

Cuthbert will initially be focused on the establishment of the new Fiera Properties CORE Fund, as he’ll serve as the fund’s manager.

He has 26 years of real estate industry experience; prior to his appointment, he was head of Canadian real estate for the investment management arm of a multi-national life insurance company.

Cuthbert says there’s a shortage of products for investors seeking the benefits of commercial real estate.

“Real estate is an area of investment where highly-skilled and disciplined managers have an important impact on return performance,” says Fiera CEO Stuart Lazier.
