Fund news from Vanguard, RBC

Vanguard Investments Canada Inc. has introduced its first suite of actively managed mutual funds in Canada, which are globally diversified and low cost. The mutual funds feature global investment strategies and complement the firm’s lineup of 36 ETFs.

The maximum management fee for each mutual fund will be 0.50%, and the fee will vary up to that maximum amount based on investment performance. Funds and fees are shown in the table below.

RBC Global Asset Management Inc. has made changes to the risk ratings of two of its mutual funds. Changes will be reflected in the renewal of the funds’ simplified prospectuses and will be effective June 28.

Changes are based on the methodology mandated by the Canadian Securities Administrators to determine risk level of mutual funds, and are the result of an annual review—not a result of any changes to the investment objectives, strategies or management of the funds.
