The winners of the 2002 Advisor of the Year Awards were: David Morgan (Atlantic), Christian Boucher (Quebec), Lance Howard and Patrick Keyes (Ontario), David Christianson (Prairies) and Malcolm Ross (B.C./Territories). Each entrant had to submit a financial planning case study from an actual client.

The case study of each advisor is summarized in this month’s edition of Advisor’s Edge. Leading off the coverage is a profile of Rob Bell, winner of the 2002 Career Achievement Award, which is handed out in conjunction with the advisor honours.

“Rob Bell has come up with a lot of innovative ideas in the financial advice channel, such as the BellCharts books and software,” said Gage.

The Advisor of the Year Award winners themselves are being profiled this month on Advisor.ca. Profiles will be published every Monday of the month, starting with Lance Howard and Patrick Keyes on January 6.

This was the fourth annual Advisor of the Year Program.

Other highlights of the January edition of Advisor’s Edge include a new column by Thane Stenner of the Vancouver area, an advisor who specializes in helping wealthy clients, and the latest installment of the RRSP Survival Guide. Advisor.ca complements the magazine’s RRSP Survival Guide with its own online version, titled: RRSP Survival Guide: Helping your clients get their groove back (part 3 of 4)
