Toronto-based Agora Dealer Services Corp. has launched a new platform designed to help independent advisors serve smaller accounts.

Agora’s Private Client Platform gives advisors the ability to offer a range of model portfolios tailored specifically to clients with average account sizes.

“Based on our discussions with industry participants, this solution addresses an issue that has been previously unsolvable in Canada: how to deliver high quality service to average sized accounts,” Paul Morford, chief executive officer of Agora Dealer Services Holding Corp, said in a release.

The model portfolios are made up of mutual funds, but Agora plans to add ETFs in the next phase of the platform, according to an email.

The Private Client Platform is available to advisors registered with the Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada and the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada, as well as portfolio managers.
