NEI appoints new chief investment officer

John Bai has been appointed vice president and chief investment officer of Aviso Wealth and NEI Investments, effective May 6, 2019.

Bai brings more than 25 years of investment industry experience to the role, having worked in leadership positions at Scotia Wealth Management, TD, Merrill Lynch Canada and DundeeWealth, according to a release from NEI.

“John’s depth of experience as an asset-management leader and his understanding of the evolving needs of financial advisors and their clients will be key in delivering on our continued commitment to providing differentiated investment solutions to Canadian investors,” Frederick M. Pinto, senior vice president and head of asset management at NEI Investments, said in a statement.
