Chicago-based wealth technology firm Envestnet Inc. has partnered with two software providers to create a new application aimed at helping advisors build stronger relationships with clients.

Developed in collaboration with Toronto-based AdvisorStream and Pennsylvania-based Apprise Labs, Envestnet Connect is designed to offer financial planning, performance reporting and relevant news to clients based on their household data, values and goals, a release said.

The platform, which also includes a financial calendar and to-do list, will offer advisors “an intuitive, customized digital interface for engaging with clients anywhere at any time,” said Edmond Walters, CEO and co-founder of Apprise Labs.

The new tool is scheduled to launch in the second half of 2020.

Earlier this month, Envestnet was part of a separate deal with Toronto-based Canaccord Genuity Group Inc. The two companies have joined forces to launch an integrated unified managed account platform (UMA) that will be available in 2021.
