Add an extra layer of escapism to your summer reading by picking your next novel or non-fiction book from J.P. Morgan’s annual summer book list and pretending you’re a bond trader, equities analyst or high-powered executive as you thumb the pages.

The firm’s list of 10 titles was chosen by people in J.P. Morgan’s worldwide offices from a list of more than 450 works.

This list includes Grit, by Angela Duckworth, which argues that persistence, not talent or genius, is the key to success.

Also named is From Silk to Silicon: The story of Globalization through Ten Extraordinary Lives, by Jeffrey E. Garten. Trace the story of globalization through the centuries through profiles of Genghis Khan, Margaret Thatcher and more.

If that’s not your idea of summer fun, there’s Hamilton: The Revolution, a behind-the-scenes look at the inspiration for and making of hit musical Hamilton, written by the show’s creator, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and theatre director Jeremy McCarter.
