NDP holds back on budgeting details

Yesterday, the NDP was the first party to release a costing document explaining how it will fund its campaign promises.

But, as seen on Maclean’s, the document left officials “trying to explain how much the NDP would tie to specific pledges [versus] how much would be left to the provinces to spend as they please,” in areas such as healthcare.

Overall, the costing document provided only a high-level overview of the party’s spending and revenue projections, and few details of each spending item—those details will be revealed when the NDP’s full platform is released. For more, click here.
