Greece’s jobless rate hits new high

In April 2013, Greece’s jobless rate reached a new high of 26.9%, reports Reuters. That rate is more than double the average seen recently in the Eurozone, which hit 12.2% in May.

Statistics service ELSTAT says between 700 and 1000 Greeks have been laid off daily since the 2008/2009 crisis began. Read more.
