Manulife Financial has named Marianne Harrison as the senior executive vice president and general manager of its Canadian Division, effective January 1, 2013.

Harrison will report directly to CEO Donald A. Guloien, and will also become a member of the company’s executive committee.

“She started in a corporate role and then transitioned to a line role, moving seamlessly from Canada to the U.S., and back,” says Guloien.

Harrison joined Manulife Financial in 2003. Prior to leading John Hancock Long-Term Care, she served as executive vice president and controller. Before that, she was CFO of Wealth Management at TD Bank.
