Scotia Global Asset Management has launched four responsible investing ETFs, the company said Thursday in a release.

The index-tracking funds are:

  • Scotia Responsible Investing Canadian Bond Index ETF (0.10% management fee),
  • Scotia Responsible Investing Canadian Equity Index ETF (0.11% management fee),
  • Scotia Responsible Investing U.S. Equity Index ETF (0.14% management fee) and
  • Scotia Responsible Investing International Equity Index ETF (0.17% management fee).

The funds, which are listed on the NEO Exchange and subadvised by State Street Global Advisors, aim to emulate the performance of their respective Solactive reference indexes. The indexes apply responsible investing screens to exclude issuers that, among other things, don’t comply with “established norms,” are materially involved in “controversial” business activities, and have material exposure to fossil fuels or a relatively high carbon profile compared to sector peers, the release said.
