Man Investments Canada Corp has filed the final prospectus for the public offering of Class A and Class F units of the Man GLG Emerging Markets Income Fund.

According to Man Investments, the fund’s investment objectives are to provide holders with monthly tax-advantaged distributions and to preserve capital while providing the opportunity for long-term capital appreciation for the holders.

“We are delighted to provide Canadian investors with this fund. The fund provides exposure to the portfolio that is intended to be managed in substantially the same manner as the GLG Emerging Currency and Fixed Income Fund – Class A unrestricted – USD shares,” said Toreigh Stuart, CEO of Man Canada.

The fund will not have a fixed distribution amount but the distributions are initially targeted to be 6% per annum on the subscription price of $10.00 and has been created to provide exposure to an actively managed, liquid and diversified portfolio of securities across various asset classes primarily within global emerging markets such as Latin America, Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. The portfolio will be managed by GLG Partners LP.

The offering is scheduled to close on November 18th, 2011.
