New leadership at Sun Life Global Investments

Oricia Smith has been named interim president of Sun Life Global Investments (Canada) Inc. (SLGI).

Smith replaces Jordy Chilcott, who left Sun Life on Oct. 27, the company confirmed to Advisor’s Edge via email. Chilcott became president of SLGI in 2019 after having joined Sun Life two years earlier as head of investment distribution.

“We thank Jordy for his contributions and wish him the best in his future endeavours,” a Sun Life spokesperson said in the email.

Smith has also assumed the role of senior vice president, investment solutions, Sun Life Canada.

Previously, Smith served as director, head of International Investment Centre, product development and analytics, SLC Management.
