Alternative trading system operator Omega Securities Inc. is bolstering its executive team with a pair of new hires.

Toronto-based Omega — which operates the Omega ATS and Lynx ATS and is seeking to develop a new digital asset market — has added former regulator Paul Romain as its chief compliance officer.

Romain comes to the firm from the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC), where he was in the OSC’s market regulation branch.

The firm also announced that Bob Lupmanis is its new head of market data services. He joins the firm from Thomson Reuters.

“I would like to welcome Paul and Bob to the Omega team. I am excited to work with them in continuing to build upon the strong foundation created at Omega” Laurence Rose, chairman, president and CEO of Omega, said in a release.
