OSC’s Jensen, BoC’s Wilkins make Canada’s Most Powerful Women list

OSC chair and CEO Maureen Jensen and Bank of Canada senior deputy governor Carolyn Wilkins are among the financial services players on the Women’s Executive Network’s list of Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award Winners.

“Maureen is a remarkable leader and one of the most respected regulators in this country,” said OSC lead director AnneMarie Ryan in a written statement. “In a career that has spanned more than 30 years, Maureen has forged a path for greater diversity and has defined what it means to be a role model for women in business today.” 

Wilkins, who became the central bank’s senior deputy in 2014, also made the list in 2016.

A number of prominent women from the financial industry made the list, including Susan Rimmer, managing director and head of global corporate banking at CIBC Capital Markets; Maili Wong, first vice-president and portfolio manager at CIBC Wood Gundy; and Catherine Roche, BMO’s head of marketing and strategy.
