Sparks fly at Facebook shareholder meeting

Sparks were flying at Facebook’s first annual general meeting yesterday as frustrated shareholders peppered the social media giant’s founder with questions about the company’s poor performance, reports the Financial Times.

Angry investors used the opportunity to give CEO Mark Zuckerberg an earful over the 40% drop in the firm’s stock price since it was issued last year.

“‘I invested blindly and today I’m under water,’ said one shareholder who made a ‘huge investment’ in Facebook to pay for his son’s education,” notes the report.
