Manulife appoints head of Asia division

Roy Gori has been appointed as president and CEO of Manulife Asia, effective March 1, 2015.

Gori will report directly to Manulife president and CEO Donald A. Guloien, and he’ll become a member of the company’s executive committee. Gori succeeds Robert Cook, who has been the head the company’s Asia division for the last seven years.

Gori joins Manulife from Citi, where he was most recently head of Consumer Banking, North Asia and Australia, and regional head of Retail Banking, Asia Pacific. He also held previous roles in Citi’s finance, operations and marketing departments.
